Fashion and art from Hermes

If you walk past one of the several windows of the Hermes store in the city, you won't see a vibrant silk scarf, a Kelly or Birkin bag or replica hermes Ostrich Stripe handbags , although they are all for sale within the newly refurbished boutique.
Instead you will see a plywood tree.
Created by Melbourne sculptor Kylie Stillman, the tree was commissioned by Hermes to mark the reopening on Monday of its boutique on the corner of Castlereagh and Market streets. Named Yamadori, the sculpture comprises 240 sheets of plywood from which Stillman has painstakingly removed shapes to create an impression of a wild tree.
Roman luxury brand Bvlgari has tapped English designer Matthew Williamson to develop a three-piece capsule collection of city bags that can take today's modern woman from work to a weekend getaway with no change of purses necessary.
Wrapped in a psychedelic print that embodies the hustle and bustle of the urban lifestyle, Williamson curiously captures the essence of living in the city - the appointments, the shopping, the nights out - everything that makes the concept of independence all the more worth achieving.
The bold colour palette, inspired by jewel tones of rubellite, emerald and sapphire, is carried through these tote bags, which feature the three statement kaleidoscope bespoke prints and are trimmed with fluorescent fuchsia, green and electric blue patent leather.
